“It Takes a Village: Healthy Davis Together”
This episode of the 25th season of the Visionaries series highlights the collaborative, innovative, and scalable public health solutions implemented by Healthy Davis Together. The Healthy Davis Together program has pioneered epidemiological interventions, environmental monitoring, new technology, and public health behavioral education to to protect an entire community from COVID-19. The program is also working to bring its wastewater monitoring program to communities in Central California, which have limited access to public health resources and data. This 25-minute documentary serves as a testament to the intersectional efforts of the residents of Davis and Yolo County to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as a potential source of inspiration for future community-centered initiatives in Davis and around the country. The episode aired on PBS KVIE on May 22, 2022 and other stations across the country.
