ABOUT THE EVENT
As we enter the third year of the pandemic, UC Davis Grand Challenges, Healthy Davis Together, and Bay Area Global Health Alliance are reflecting on the many stakeholders that came together and forged partnerships to mitigate the devastating consequences of COVID-19 locally, nationally, and globally. For universities, public health departments and local governments, the pandemic response showed not only the vital roles each can play in a public health crisis but also the importance of collaboration. We know future health crises are on the horizon. We are seizing the moment to share what we’ve learned and to discuss policy and infrastructure and other resources needed to maintain a level of readiness for the future.
That’s why we’re bringing representatives from these sectors together for a workshop, April 26–28.
Together, we will develop a roadmap for academic, public health and local government integration in pandemic preparedness and response planning for the future of public health. Join the live-streamed plenary sessions to hear from leaders, changemakers, and cross-sector partners to begin charting the course for a healthier, safer future.
